< Communique 7.0: Election Special. Everyone's a looser >>>

It's a hung parliment in Westminster, but here at PCP HQ we're
feeling rather pleased. It seems every political party is jumping on
the post-capitalist bandwagon and aiming to lose.

We had a very important result we were waiting for last night. The
Post-Capitalist Party was literally biting its nails waiting to find
out how many votes Sophie Nathan, its one and only candidate standing
as a councillor in the ward of Dalston E8, had received.

Post-Capitalist Party

No Manefestos or members, just participants and ideas

The Post-Capitalist Party asks:
What would a post-capitalist future look like? Are there other alternatives we could create? Can we, as a collective force vision and produce them?

It’s a big ask. The Post-Capitalist Party knows we might not be ready for it. Conditioned and trained, habitualised and lied to, we find it hard to see another way of organising our societies, organising our lives.

But in a time when we are experiencing a monumental banking crisis, expenses scandals in Parliament and the continued threat of climate change, the PCP thinks it's important that we re-engage with the decisions that affect our lives and explore the possible alternatives to a failing economic system, but is Dalston ready for it?

We therefore invite you to an exercise in imagination, to a possible world. The Post-Capitalist Party doesn't have answers, it has dreams of a fairer, more just future where people lead more fulfilled, sustainable, communal, satisfied, happier, joyful, connected, responsible, engaged lives.

Come along! We're not going to get any state sanctioned power, but at least we're going to have some serious fun trying!
